The trial, and what happens after it
Saturn is free and complete for 14 days. No card, no account, no sign-up — download it and it starts.
If the trial ends and you have not bought, Saturn becomes read-only rather than locking you out. Every note stays open, searchable, exportable and copyable; what stops is writing new text. Your notes were never inside Saturn to begin with — they are Markdown files in your own folder, and they stay exactly as reachable as they were before you installed it.
That asymmetry is deliberate. Software that holds your writing hostage to a payment is the thing this app is arguing against.
Support and security updates
Every licence carries a support end date, at least 5 years after purchase, and it is shown to you before you pay and printed on the licence itself.
Within that period, security updates and macOS compatibility fixes are free — including after any future major version has shipped. A paid upgrade may gate new features. It will never gate a security fix.
Payment is handled by Stripe, which is the merchant of record. Applicable tax is calculated and shown at checkout. We never see your card details.
